Things I have learned about Word

Since my last entry I have learned a few new things. I learned about using the tab key to space things out. The space bar is not an acceptable tool to use to do that, I guess. I also learned about making tables and how to shape them to the way I want them. I never knew I could just double-click in between cells to make them fit text correctly. I can also make tables print without borders. I think I am a table expert now. I also tried a new site called www.chacah.com. It is a site where you can text a question to them and they send back answers to help you out. This is very useful for on the run questions.

Cloud Computing

Today in class I learned about two different sites that can help me if I have internet access. At www.tadalist.com
I can
make an organized list that I can access from anywhere. This way I cannot lose it on my computer and I can see if without having to save it on a flash drive or CD. I personally would probably not use it, but it's nice to know that I can. The site that I found to be very interesting was http://docs.google.com. It made it so you can use word and excel without using the ones on your computer. Or maybe use it if you don't have those programs. I can write all of this online and then download it to my computer as a word file. This is a useful tool and I am glad that I know about it.

I also learned about new things in word recently. I learned how to post blogs using word. I also learned how to use the format painter. I knew some things before, but the new shortcuts I learned are definitely going to come in handy. I also thought that creating paragraphs for you option was interesting. I had never seen that before.

    

My First Blog

In CIS 251 I have learned quite a bit. I am usually pretty good with computers and this class has helped me further advance my knowledge. My favorite assignment was the word cloud. I like things that are different and I thought this was a fun assignment. I have learned how to send multiple files by compressing a folder. This is very useful, this way I don't have to send each part individually. Hopefully I learn more and do good in this class.
